  5. reqtools.library is a standard Amiga shared, runtime library.  The purpose
  6. of ReqTools is to make it a lot quicker and easier to build standard
  7. requesters into your programs.  ReqTools is designed with Commodore's style
  8. guidelines in mind, all requesters have the look-and-feel of AmigaDOS
  9. Release 2.
  10.  
  11. ReqTools features the following requesters: a query requester, a string
  12. requester, a number requester, a file requester, a font requester, a
  13. palette requester, a volume requester and a screenmode requester.
  14.  
  15. Also included are RTPatch (1.3) and RexxReqTools (1.2e):
  16.  
  17. RTPatch is a small program that will re-route functions from most popular
  18. requester libraries to ReqTools.  Libraries currently supported are Arp,
  19. Req and Asl.  RTPatch will also patch some functions in Intuition to give
  20. you improved system requesters.
  21.  
  22. RexxReqTools gives ARexx users easy access to a large family of requesters.
  23. All requesters are easy to use; they require one or no arguments.  But the
  24. requesters also have a lot of power through several optional arguments and
  25. through tagstrings.  RexxReqTools itself doesn't implement any of these
  26. requesters, it is a link between ARexx and ReqTools.

  31.   Bug fix: screenmode requester had some selection problems on certain
  32.     graphic cards (Spectrum, Merlin,...).  Should be fixed now.
  33.   Directory requester will no longer hide the files in directories, but
  34.     will show them ghosted now.  Note that directories will always be
  35.     shown first in the directory requester, regardless of the ReqTools
  36.     prefs setting.
  37.   File requester now has directory completion as well as filename
  38.     completion.  Pressing Alt up/down arrow will select the directory
  39.     that most closely matches the contents of the filename string gadget.
  40.   The file requester now also has volume and assign completion.  Using
  41.     up/down arrow will select the closest matching volume.  Use the Alt
  42.     qualifier to select the closest matching assign.
  43.   The volume list will now first show the volume name, followed by the
  44.     device name.
  45.   New switch in the ReqTools preference editor to force the use of the
  46.     system default font instead of the screen font in the file, volume,
  47.     font, screenmode and palette requesters.
  48.   Fixed enforcer hits in font and screenmode requesters when an intuition
  49.     callback function (RT_IntuiMsgFunc tag) was used.
  50.   Improved method of filtering DOS devices that are shown in the file and
  51.     volume requesters.
  52.   Palette requester: pressing either Alt key with the keyboard shortcut
  53.     for red, green or blue will adjust the color value in steps of 8.
  54.   Fixed SAS/C glue code to be compatible again with the autoinitialization
  55.     and autotermination feature of SAS/C 6.50 and higher.
  56.   Added SAS/C 6.x 'tagcall' pragmas to 'include/pragmas/reqtools.h'.
  57.   Included new glue code for GCC.  Written by Gunther Nikl.
  58.   Version 2.2b of ReqTools preference editor included.
